Sovereigns of Earth — Historical Grand Strategy

Sovereigns of Earth

A world-scale historical grand strategy game where every campaign becomes a political chronicle shaped by war, institutions, succession, and geography.

A historical world that continues to change

Choose a dated campaign and govern a historical polity through military campaigns, diplomacy, provincial development, internal unrest, and dynastic succession.

Historical conditions define the opening situation, but the simulation does not force a predetermined timeline. Nations can rise, migrate, transform, fragment, or disappear as centuries pass.

Strategy beyond conquest

Commanders, governors, claimants, legitimacy, treasury, stability, and diplomatic commitments can be as decisive as battlefield strength.

The strongest realm is not merely the largest. It is the one whose institutions can survive expansion, defeat, succession, and political crisis.

Frequently asked questions

What is Sovereigns of Earth?

Sovereigns of Earth is a single-player historical grand strategy game about governing nations across centuries. Players manage warfare, diplomacy, legitimacy, succession, provincial development, and the political ambitions of commanders and governors.

Is Sovereigns of Earth historically accurate?

Campaigns begin from researched historical foundations, including dated borders, capitals, factions, alliances, and conflicts. After the opening position, a deterministic simulation produces plausible alternate history instead of forcing a scripted timeline.

Which historical campaigns are playable?

The authored campaign archive currently includes the Peloponnesian War in 431 BCE and the First Punic War in 264 BCE. Broader generated starts cover nine historical eras while additional authored snapshots are developed.

Can I play Sovereigns of Earth in a browser?

Yes. The web edition runs in a modern browser and supports signed-in cloud saves. A Windows desktop edition is also being prepared for commercial distribution.

Is the web edition free to play?

Yes. The web edition is free for everyone and funded entirely by advertising. Advertising is part of free access and loads for every visitor. Account, password, and account-deletion controls are available from the player account page, and inactive cloud saves are removed after 30 days.

What makes each campaign different?

Geography, institutions, diplomacy, characters, succession pressure, migration, unrest, and economic capacity interact each turn. The same historical opening can therefore produce materially different political outcomes.
